Help Guide for Ordering GRP Stair Treads Online

Ordering Stair Treads to fit your step is simple. Input your measurements and choose your specifications following the guide below.

Step One - Choose your stair tread length

Input a stair tread length which matches the length of the area you want to cover.

• We manufacture stair treads up to three metres. Our products can join together perfectly. 

Step Two - Choose your stair tread going depth:

Input your size which matches the depth of the going required.

• If you have a going which is wider than the limit, you require a non slip stair landing board.

Step Three - Choose your stair tread riser height:

A riser is the front facing vertical surface of the step. Input the dimension which matches your choice of the vertical riser height. 

• This does not have to be the entire riser length of your step, as this will be longer than the 110mm limit. 

• A 55mm minimum contrasting riser is required to meet the DDA requirements for a high visual sightline.

• Add a riser cover plate to your order if you require to cover the excess open riser area behind the stair tread riser profile. 

Step Four - Choose your thickness:

• 4mm is ideal for sparsely used staircases (such as fire escapes or residential steps).

• 6mm is ideal for heavy-foot traffic areas (such as public walkways and bridges).

• 10mm is ideal where heavy goods movement will take place.

Step Five - Choose your grit size:

• Option One: Standard Grit: For Anti Slip Treads for Standard Outdoor Steps.

• Option Two: Double Grit: For areas of heavy or stubborn movement such as industrial non slip stair treads projects. 

• Option Three: Barefoot Fine Grit: For internal use, or where pedestrians may be travelling across the area without shoes.

Step Six - Choose your grit colour: 

Select the preferred RAL colour.

• Consider that the nosing at the front has to contrast for DDA Compliance Purposes. 

Step Seven - Choosing your stair tread nosing colour:

Select the preferred RAL colour.

• We recommend you choose a colour that contrasts to achieve a high visual sightline.

Step Eight - Choose your quantity: 

• Pick the required quantity and add to your basket. 

• If you have additional requirements, return to the listing from the checkout to add more sizes.
